Privacy summary at a glance
- •Local processing: Numbers you enter into our health, finance, and math calculators are processed in your browser only. We do not transmit or store those specific inputs on our servers.
- •No data selling: We do not sell personal information to data brokers.
- •Global rights: This policy explains your rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other US state laws, LGPD, and more.
1. Who we are
GenAICalculator is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you are located in the EEA or UK, you may contact us directly using the details in Section 15 to exercise your rights; where required by applicable law, we will appoint an EU/UK representative under Article 27 GDPR / UK GDPR and update this policy accordingly.
2. Information we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run a fast, free, globally accessible set of calculators:
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and page-load performance, collected automatically on every visit.
- Data you provide: Name and email address if you use our contact form or subscribe to updates.
- Calculator inputs: Numbers you enter (salary, weight, loan amount, and similar) are processed entirely in your browser to return an instant result. This can include health-related figures on some calculators; those values are never transmitted to or stored on our servers, so they are not retained as "special category" data under GDPR Article 9 or similar sensitive-data rules.
3. Why we process your data (legal bases)
If you're in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction requiring a stated legal basis, here's what applies to each purpose:
| Purpose | Data involved | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Operating and securing the site | IP address, device/browser data | Legitimate interest |
| Analytics (Google Analytics) | Usage data, cookie identifiers | Consent (EEA/UK) or legitimate interest elsewhere |
| Advertising (Google AdSense) | Advertising identifiers, cookie data | Consent (EEA/UK); opt-out right elsewhere |
| Responding to contact form / newsletter | Name, email address | Consent / contract (you initiated contact) |
| Legal compliance | Any of the above, as required | Legal obligation |
4. Google services and advertising
We rely on Google's infrastructure to understand traffic and keep every calculator free:
- Google Analytics: Measures traffic patterns using cookies. Opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google AdSense: Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure ads, including based on your visits to this or other sites.
- Manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
- Full cookie names, providers, and durations are listed in our Cookie Policy.
6. How long we keep your data
| Data category | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Calculator inputs (salary, weight, loan amounts, etc.) | Not retained — processed client-side only, never transmitted to our servers |
| Contact form / newsletter submissions | Up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete it |
| Analytics data (Google Analytics) | Per Google Analytics' configured retention window, currently up to 14 months |
| Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) | Per Google's cookie expiry — see our Cookie Policy for specifics |
| Server/security logs | Up to 90 days, for abuse and security monitoring |
7. EEA and UK rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you're in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification of inaccurate information.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability for data you provided to us.
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, via our cookie preference center.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe we've mishandled your data.
8. United States privacy rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws now in effect in states including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, request deletion, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We don't sell data for money, but personalized Google ads may count as "sharing" under some state definitions. Opt out anytime via our cookie settings or by enabling your browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor as a valid opt-out request.
9. Other regions
We also recognize rights under Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and Australia's Privacy Act. Wherever local law grants a right to access, correct, delete, or opt out, you can exercise it using the contact details in section 15.
10. Children's privacy (COPPA)
GenAICalculator is a general-audience site and isn't directed at children under 13 (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We don't knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn a minor has provided personal data, we'll delete it promptly — contact us using the details in section 15.
11. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. Our calculators return a mathematical result based only on the numbers you enter — they don't build a profile of you or make decisions on your behalf.
12. International data transfers
Because our infrastructure and partners (like Google) operate globally, your data may be processed in the United States or other countries outside where you live. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to protect data transferred this way.
13. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work to keep these protections current.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or applicable law change. Material changes update the "Last updated" date above; where required, we'll also ask for renewed consent before any new non-essential processing begins.
15. Contact us and complaints
To exercise any right described above, or with questions about this policy, reach our data protection team at [email protected]. If you're in the EEA or UK and aren't satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
